Goddy style: Hilarious moment Brazilian priest is interrupted by two dogs trying to mount in front of him during his service

  • Father Pierre Maurício’s service in Brazil was disrupted by a pair of naughty dogs
  • The stray pups have now been adopted by the priest after their cheeky display

Two cheeky pups interrupted a church service in Brazil with their raunchy antics after clambering on stage and play fighting – before one mounted the other in the middle of a Catholic priest’s sermon.

The hilarious moment was captured on film, and later shared by the priest who was left bemused by the gatecrashing dogs, along with his congregation.

Father Pierre Maurício was conducting a service at the Santa Rita Church in the city of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais State, last month when the stray dogs broke in and stole the show.

As he attempted to speak about the role of the church during the carnival season, the pups are seen making their way up to the front of the church.

Churchgoers and officials remain still as the dogs happily jump up to where the priest was standing in front of the altar, and start to play around his feet.

Father Pierre attempted to keep a straight face as the dogs became more boisterous, before one proceeded to hump the other in full view of the faithful

But the pastor couldn’t help but find the humour in the dogs’ display, and can be heard saying: ‘They haven’t been baptised yet, it’s not possible.’

As churchgoers chuckle, he continues: ‘What’s going on? Oh my God. Beloved Jesus. I’ve just realised that they haven’t been baptised.

‘My children, you can’t do that here. Go to the woods,’ he tells the playful pair.

One of the little girls sitting near the altar cracks a smile and has to cover her mouth as she giggles at the two naughty dogs.

She is not alone as a man sitting behind Pierre, who appears to be a member of the clergy, laughs along with the priest’s jokes.

Others are seen trying to stifle laughter as the situation gets increasingly ridiculous, while another altar girl appears to maintain her composure throughout.

The story had a touching end when the church minister later revealed he had adopted the two strays.

After Instagram user Fabiene De Souza Mechler commented ‘How beautiful, little angels! Adopt them, Father!’, the priest replied that he had already done so.

A smiling selfie shows him in church after changing out of his alb with the two pooches under his arm.

Clearly a dog lover, the man of God has also shared pictures with a sweet French bulldog.

He is dressed in his dog collar in one snap, posing for a selfie with the cute pooch who is sleeping in his arms.

After posted the video of the strays to Instagram for his 100,000 followers, the clip has racked up over 23,000 views and hundreds of comments.

One follower, Sara Guerra, laughed at it, saying: ‘These things only happen to you, Father Pierre.’

As well as being active on Instagram, Father Pierre has a YouTube channel with 58,900 subscribers, where he ‘offers content of faith to bring you closer to God’.
