A British lady who collapsed and died on a beach front in Sicily times just after she experienced finished a swim has been named as Deborah Hooper.

Deborah, 64, was on holiday with retired accountant Andrew Ashman, 72, when she is believed to have experienced a cardiac arrest in tough seas.

The pair were being going for walks along a beach at Punta Secca close to Ragusa on the Italian island when tragedy struck last Friday.

Police informed MailOnline that Deborah experienced long gone for a swim despite the h2o staying ‘rough and cold’ and on an space where there is no everyday living guard on duty through the off season.

She managed to get out of the h2o and arrive at the shore, but she collapsed in entrance of her spouse.

Medics have been known as to the scene, but they ended up not able to revive the female, who was pronounced dead.

Carabinieri law enforcement spokesperson Lt Col Giovanni Palatini advised MailOnline: ‘The British woman went into the sea which at the time was rough and chilly and we consider she had some form of medical episode.

‘Her partner noticed she was in issues as did two other people today on the seaside but due to the fact the sea was rough they couldn’t go in and had to hold out until she received nearer to the shore.

‘They pulled her out and attempted to revive her with the support of paramedics who were being called to the scene but there was almost nothing that could be finished to save her.’

Deborah was originally from Salisbury, Wiltshire, though her husband or wife is from Hampstead, north west London.
