The ex-partner of a German MP who left her and their three children for a porn star has said she is ‘heartbroken’ over the split.
Jilted Karoline Preisler, 51, has three children with 44-year-old Hagen Reinhold, a member of the Bundestag for the centrist Free Democratic Party (FDP).
‘Of course the last few weeks have been difficult for the whole family,’ she wrote on social media.
‘Such a breakup is hurtful and doesn’t leave you unaffected: I’ve had a few sleepless nights. But everyday life goes on with all its challenges.’

She is currently moving from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to Berlin and is hoping to become a constitutional judge in the state of Brandenburg.
Ms Preisler – who is also an FDP politician – continued: ‘Being public and private at the same time is not easy. I am currently heartbroken.
‘That’s not nice as a private person, but it’s absolute horror when you’re in public.
‘And there are nicer things than having to read about it on the front page of a newspaper just because your ex-partner’s new girlfriend has a certain notoriety.’
Mr Reinhold met former porn star Annina Ucatis-Semmelhaack, 43, through a mentoring programme run by the FDP-affiliated Friedrich Naumann Foundation.
Ms Ucatis – famous for her double-G breasts and a former Celebrity Big Brother contestant – is now running for the FDP in local elections in Elmshorn.
She married real estate billionaire Theodor Semmelhaack, 65, in 2013, but both Ms Ucatis and Mr Reinhold insist their relationships had ended before their liaison.
Mr Reinhold – an MP since 2017 – and Ms Preisler had been together for 16 years before their break-up.
Ms Preisler added: ‘I would have liked our partnership to end differently. But that was out of my hands.
‘Hagen Reinhold and I will stay connected, not least because of the children. And I am confident that we, as responsible people, will succeed. I’m looking ahead now.’
Ms Ucatis has said of her new relationship: ‘Many have congratulated us on our new love. Even with my past you can be successful and happy. We love each other.’
Sitting MP Mr Reinhold scandalised German politics by ditching his partner of 16 years and his three children for the porn star.
Mr Reinhold and his longtime partner Ms Preisler were once considered a Bundestag power couple.
But Reinhold, who is chairman of his party’s eastern division, shocked Berlin by swapping the mother of his teenage children for Annina Semmelhaack, who used to perform in racy adult films as Annina Ucatis.
The 43-year-old recently raised eyebrows by switching porn for politics, hoping to stand for the FDP in local elections next year, and a romance with Reinhold blossomed during mentorship sessions to promote women in government.

Ucatis, an economics graduate who was previously married to millionaire real estate mogul Theodor Semmelhaack, 65, made her name in films such as Big T** A-List and Busty C*** Worshippers 2.
She also runs her own real estate agency, Holsteiner Grund & Boden.
The adult actress said: ‘It’s a great love and we’re going into a happy future together.’
Meanwhile her new partner added: ‘We got to know and love each other in the FDP.’
But after news of the affair emerged, his jilted ex Preisler posted on Twitter: ‘The past few months have been bitter for me.’

A sympathetic friend asked in response to her tweet: ‘Is this a joke?’
But Preisler replied: ‘No, it is love.’
She added she is moving back to Berlin and giving up politics after working as an MP in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in the northeast of Germany.
In June, Ucatis posted a photo with Reinhold of the pair sitting down during their ‘mentoring and skills training’, showing their close bond as the pair stare deeply into each other’s eyes.
Sje said at the time: ‘ During the last week of the German Bundestag session, I visited the office of Hagen Reinhold, MdB.
‘The team gave me a very warm welcome and involved me in the political work.
‘Thank you very much for your participation and your commitment, I felt very comfortable with you!’
She has posted a number of photos with the politician on her Instagram in the subsequent months, documenting their burgeoning and then secretive romance.

Ucatis previously made headlines in 2019 when New York Police Department allowed her to take a private tour of their headquarters without any apparent explanation.
The X-rated star shared photos and videos of the Real Time Crime Center among other sensitive areas of the NYPD’s One Police Plaza and at the Security Coordination Center at 55 Broadway.
In the series of post, the 40-year-old actress poses in front of a variety of NYPD paraphernalia. A uniformed man appears in several of the photos.

The lobby is accessible to people who are not cops but those wishing to pass through must be screened. They have to present their ID and state the reason that they are visiting before passing through metal detectors.
Ucatis filmed a three minute video of her time in New York, including some of her time inside of the department headquarters.

She occasionally pans to signs in the building that clearly state ‘NYPD Personnel Only’
In an interview with the New York Post, Ucatis shared that a friend had arranged the tour for her but would not reveal their identity.
‘It was just a quick stopping there. I love NYC very much and am interested in getting to know the city better,’ she told the Post.
A high ranking police source shared that they found her access to the department to be ‘troubling.’
‘What’s on those screens appear to be stuff that generally should not be in view by the public,’ said the source. ‘911 calls and information given by the victim is typed into the system. That information is helpful to the responding officers.
They continued: ‘What victim wants their personal information read by everyone? It’s the equivalent of having an unauthorized person behind the precinct desk.’
The source took issue with Ucatis getting access to the 14th floor, even though the porn star admitted that she did not get to meet police commissioner James O’Neill.
‘What’s even more bizarre is how did she get on the 14th floor?’ they asked. ‘I can’t go up there without being invited up. There are other offices there but it’s high-level positions. It would be very awkward for me to show up on the 14th floor without an invite.’
Several users on social media cited an August memo from the NYPD, banning the filming of the inside of precincts. Police are to technically issue a warning before asking a person to leave when they continue filming. If they don’t stop, they can then be arrested.
The New York Police Department could not be reached for a comment when asked about the porn star’s visit.
