A pensioner said she feared for her lifetime soon after she was ambushed and bitten by a giant sea turtle although on holiday getaway in Turkey.

Lidia Bazarova, 64, was just 10ft from shore when a huge loggerhead turtle that weighs as considerably as a cow sank its sharp beak into her backside. 

The Russian woman, who wanted hospital procedure for the terrifying attack at Antalya seaside vacation resort Güzeolaba, reported: ‘I was genuinely close to shore – some 3 or 4 metres – when I just turned on to my back.
