Irish father drowns even though making an attempt to save his 11-year-previous daughter soon after she was swept out to sea on a body board on Australian beach front

An Irishman has drowned in a heroic attempt to rescue his daughter from the sea in Australia. 

The 45-year-old father rushed into the waves at Lennox Head on the northern coastline of New South Wales just after his daughter was swept out to sea on a human body board.

The tragedy occurred at Seven Mile Beach front at about 6.30pm on Wednesday night time. It is recognized that the beach was not getting patrolled by a lifeguard at the time.

The father managed to swim out to get to her but was not able to provide her again to shore.

The man’s wife then swam out to the 11-year-previous female and the two were being able to scramble back again to the seashore wherever they alerted the authorities.

Two law enforcement officers, who were being to start with on the scene, entered the surf in an try to obtain the male but have been unsuccessful.

Surf lifesavers then arrived and retrieved the man’s entire body from the sea at all-around 7pm. 

NSW Ambulance paramedics initiated CPR but have been not able to revive him and he died at the scene.

The spouse and daughter had been also supplied health care awareness by the on-scene paramedics. 

The spouse and children is from Lennox Head and officers from Richmond Law enforcement District have alerted the Irish Consulate of the man’s death.

A law enforcement statement explained: ‘A report will be organized for the data of the Coroner.’

Law enforcement and Surf Lifesaving NSW issued a plea to beachgoers to remain careful in the sea all through Australia’s summer season months.

The director of Surf Lifesaving NSW Joel Wiseman mentioned that there had been a substantial boost in water rescues in new months.

He attributed the boost to children lacking swimming lessons through the pandemic.

Mr Wiseman explained to Sky News Australia: ‘Sadly, we’re actively playing capture up with seeking to enhance drowning avoidance and approaches throughout the nation at the instant.’
