Ruth Lawrence, 42, from Clontarf in North Dublin was at the centre of a world manhunt after the brutal killings of Eoin O’Connor and Anthony Keegan in 2014.

The Hawks – an elite South African law enforcement unit – mentioned they were acting on an intercontinental warrant when they carried out the dawn raid in Pellissier, Bloemfontein, yesterday.

Hawks spokesperson Captain Christopher Singo stated essential info about Lawrence and her whereabouts was been given on September 28.

Captain Singo mentioned: ‘Her arrest comes on an Interpol warrant relating to the murder of Eoin O’Connor, 32, and Anthony Keegan, 33, in Ireland.

‘They have been both equally discovered murdered in 2014 and immediately after the murder of the deceased folks the suspect then fled the region to South Africa’.

Lawrence experienced never occur to the attention of the Gardai prior to the double killing in 2014.
