French law enforcement officers shot and killed a person who brandished a knife at the Charles de Gaulle airport exterior Paris on Wednesday, law enforcement and airport resources reported.
Officers encountered the person, who was reportedly homeless, in the vicinity of the active airport’s 2F terminal early this early morning whilst on patrol.
According to French radio station RTL, the knifeman confirmed ‘signs of aggression’, refused to obey law enforcement orders, and allegedly ran in the direction of police.
A law enforcement officer opened fire on the knifeman, who was addressed by emergency providers, RTL claimed. He was rushed from the scene, but succumbed to his injuries.
‘This early morning officers neutralised a threatening individual in possession of a knife at the Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport,’ the Paris police division explained on Twitter.
