The ex-footballer was allegedly involved in a vehicle chase with police before he was stopped and detained in the Crumlin region of Dublin final evening.

The Irish sportsman was arrested for drug possession and risky driving and has been launched from Crumlin Garda Station, The Irish Mirror reported.

A file will now be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
