This is the terrifying moment an actor from India was nearly run over by a truck while on set filming.

Popular actor Vishal took to Twitter to share how the speeding lorry had just missed him while working on the upcoming film ‘Mark Anthony’.

The behind-the-scenes footage shows an apparently out-of-control truck, heavily loaded with equipment, breaking through a prop gate and hurtling towards a crowd of people.

All manage to get out of the way in time as the lorry shows no sign of stopping,  heading towards the wall at the other side of the set.

Vishal is seen lying on the floor as part of the act before moving as he realises the truck is close to hitting him.

Somebody jumps in to pull him away before the camera pans down.

The video was also shard by Vishal Film Factory, producing the film, which confirmed that there were no injuries on the set.

They said that a technical issue had caused the lorry to go rogue.

‘@VishalKOfficial escapes just in time by a few inches & seconds. All are safe & shooting will resume soon !!’

Vishal later took to Twitter to share the video with his 1.9m followers.

He thanked God and said that he was numb to the experience and ready to get back to filming.

Fans and fellow actors took to Twitter to share their best wishes after the video was put online.
