The head of Putin’s Wagner mercenary group has accused Russia’s defence minister of treason and depriving his forces of ammunition in a bid to wipe out his personal military.
In a furious outburst on his Telegram channel, Yevgeny Prigozhin reported that there was ‘simply direct opposition heading on’ in a reference to Kremlin best brass and that this ‘can be equated to high treason’.
The feared mercenary boss singled out Sergei Shoigu and Valery Gerasimov – the country’s most senior soldier – for deliberately resulting in him weapons shortages, which he claimed was foremost to heightened losses between his frontline troops.
Prigozhin, dubbed ‘Putin’s Chef’ obtaining after delivered catering companies to the Kremlin, has been spearheading Russia’s months-very long struggle for the city of Bakhmut in Ukraine’s Donetsk region with his guys struggling catastrophic losses.

In his audio concept, Prigozhin said the unspecified individuals he blamed for the lack of ammunition have been ‘eating breakfast, lunch and supper off golden plates’ and sending their relations on vacation to Dubai, a preferred vacation spot for the Russian elite.
