A woman has cheated death after fainting and falling under a moving train in these incredible scenes recorded on CCTV.
The female commuter at the centre of the drama told yesterday how she felt she had been reborn after surviving the horror incident.
Onlookers feared the worst after she lost her balance and disappeared under the train arriving at Independence Station in Gonzalez Catan on the outskirts of the Argentine capital Buenos Aires.
Footage showed her stumbling on her feet before tipping forward and vanishing between two carriages.
Several witnesses including a man in a baseball cap could be seen raising their hands to their head.
The woman, who has only been named as Candela, appeared to grow dizzy and faint moments before the accident
She was seen stumbling forwards and falling into the arriving carriage of the train, without putting her arms out to stop herself
The movement of the train drags her with it and she goes down and is swept under the train, much to the horror and consternation of fellow commuters
A large crowd gathers round the point where Candela fell under the train in an effort to rescue her
She was rescued from the tracks alive as commuters crowded round before being sat and then laid down on the platform and taken away in a wheelchair once an ambulance arrived
She was rescued from the tracks alive as commuters crowded round before being sat and then laid down on the platform and taken away in a wheelchair once an ambulance arrived.
The woman, named only as Candela, has only just been able to seen the images for herself after being told she was out of danger and being discharged from Buenos Aires Hospital Dr Alberto Balestrini.
She told an Argentinian TV station: “I suffered a sudden drop in blood pressure and fainted.
“I tried to warn the person in front of me but don’t remember anything else, even the moment I smashed into the train.
“I don’t know how I’m still alive. I’m still trying to make sense of it all.”
A witness to the incident said: “This girl has been reborn. It’s a miracle.
“We were waiting for the train and suddenly she fell onto the track. Amazingly it was just a scare.”
