Boris Becker’s estranged wife is reportedly being sued for £170,000 by a ‘close friend’ who claims to have loaned her the money.

Pierre Uebelhack, 47, filed suit against 46-year-old Lilly Becker at a court in Munich a few days ago, German newspaper Bild reports.

Mr Uebelhack, a TV producer, and Ms Becker were said to have been ‘close’ between 2017 and some time last year when she told Hello magazine she would ‘love to be in love’ again. She is now believed to be dating sports manager Thorsten Weck.

Lilly remains legally married to tennis ace Boris, 55 – who is serving time in a British jail for bankruptcy offences – but the pair split back in 2018.

Lilly, now 46, is still legally married to Boris despite the pair announcing their split in 2018 – shortly after the tennis ace was declared bankrupt

The newspaper claims the sum was due to be repaid on August 31 and Mr Uebelhack is now suing to get it back, plus interest.

Lilly and Mr Uebelhack are thought to have become ‘close’ with each-other in 2017, around the time Boris was declared bankrupt and shortly before she announced the pair had split after nine years of marriage.

In 2019, Lilly and Mr Uebelhack were pictured leaving court together in London and heading for brunch, amid reports that he had been introduced to the son she shares with Boris – Amadeus, then aged nine.

Those close to Lilly say the relationship has settled into a close friendship, and in an interview with Hello magazine last year she spoke of her difficulties in ‘trying to find the right one’ and said she would ‘love to be in love’ again.

In October this year, she was spotted on the beach in Marbella with Thorsten Weck, who runs a sport management company, with the pair reported to be dating.

The pair were seen relaxing on sun loungers together, with Mr Weck bearing a strong resemblance to Boris.

Lilly has given differing accounts of her current relationship with Boris – saying in that Hello interview that she ‘cannot make it work’ with him despite ‘truly trying’.

But in May this year, after her husband was jailed, said told Piers Morgan that she ‘of course’ still loves him and ‘completely broke down’ as he was sent to prison.

For his part, Becker is currently dating political risk analyst Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro who he has been linked with since 2020.

The Wimbledon ace was jailed earlier this year for hiding assets from his creditors after being declared bankrupt, and was sentenced to two-and-a-half-years.

But he could be released as early as next week under an agreement that would see him deported to Germany and barred from re-entering this country until his full sentence has expired.

Becker would be a free man once back on home soil, the Daily Mirror reported.
