204

If your PS4 is blinking an orange light, it means that the console is overheating. The most common cause of this is leaving the console in an enclosed space, such as an enclosed entertainment center. If your console is in an enclosed space, make sure to provide adequate ventilation to prevent the console from overheating. You can also try moving the console to a cooler location. How to fix the PS4’s Orange Light of Death

It’s every PlayStation 4 owner’s worst nightmare. You’re in the middle of playing your favorite game when all of a sudden, the screen goes blank and the PS4’s notorious “Blue Light of Death” appears. But don’t despair just yet! There are a few things you can try to get your PS4 up and running again.

First, try holding down the power button for 7-8 seconds. This will force the PS4 to enter safe mode and hopefully fix the problem. If that doesn’t work, try unplugging the PS4 for a few minutes and then plugging it back in.

If those two methods don’t work, then it’s time to open up your PS4. Don’t worry, it’s not as difficult as it sounds. First, unscrew the plastic casing on the back of the PS4. Then, unplug the power cord and HDMI cable from the PS4.

Next, locate the hard drive. It will be in a black casing and will be screwed into the PS4. Unscrew the hard drive and remove it from the PS4.

Once the hard drive is removed, you’ll need to find a way to format it. The easiest way to do this is to connect it to a computer and format it through the computer. Once the hard drive is formatted, reattach it to the PS4 and screw it back in.

Now, reattach the power cord and HDMI cable to the PS4. Turn on the orange blinking light PS4, and cross your fingers that the “Blue Light of Death” is gone for good!
