Tsunami warning after 7.5-magnitude earthquake strikes near Tonga
A tsunami warning has been issued immediately after a 7.5-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Tonga right now.
Officers reported harmful tsunami waves from the earthquake are doable inside 186 miles of the quake’s epicentre along the coasts of Tonga and Niue.
The earthquake, with a depth of 10km, was detected 128 miles southeast of the coast of Neiafu, a coastal town on the east coast of Tonga, on Friday early morning.
A tsunami advisory has now been issued for the Tonga area next the earthquake.
